Shipping Package Protection
At Darc Sport Hawaii, we understand the importance of ensuring that your orders reach you safely and securely. Our Shipping Package Protection service is designed to offer you peace of mind by providing coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged packages. Please carefully review the following details to understand your rights and responsibilities when utilizing our protection services.
1. Package Protection Coverage
Customers who opt to purchase Shipping Package Protection with their orders will be entitled to coverage against loss, theft, or damages during transit. Please note that the Shipping Package Protection coverage applies solely to the items included in the order for which coverage was purchased and does not extend to items from previous or future orders. This protection is available for an additional fee and must be selected at the time of purchase.
2. Claim Process
In the event of a lost, stolen, or damaged package, customers must file a claim via our online portal or by contacting our customer service team directly. Claims must be filed within the timelines listed below. Your claim may be denied if it is not filed in accordance with these timelines.
3. Documentation Requirements
For claims where the carrier has confirmed delivery of the package, we reserve the right to request a copy of a police report as part of the investigation process. This requirement helps ensure the validity of claims and prevent fraudulent activity.
A police report is required for all theft claims over $499.
4. Exclusions
Package protection does not cover items excluded under our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:
- Items shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
- Damage or loss due to acts of nature, including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, or severe weather conditions.
- Damage or loss caused by third-party carriers after the package has been delivered to the specified address.
- Damage caused after the package has been delivered to the customer.
5. Claim Limitation
At our discretion, we may limit the number of claims a customer can file under our Shipping Package Protection policy. If we determine that a limit should be applied, we will inform the customer in writing.
Once notified, the limitation will be in effect for a period of 365 days, during which no further claims will be accepted. This limitation applies after the current outstanding claim, if any, has been processed.
We reserve the right to implement this limitation based on our assessment of each individual case.
6. Excessive Claims and Abuse of Coverage
In cases where a pattern of excessive claims is observed, or if it is determined that there has been an abuse of coverage or fraudulent activity, any open or future claims will be denied.
